The DR 3000 repeater can be programmed for 50 to 80 watts of power and can receive digital or analogue signals. The DM3000 will transmit in either digital or analogue mode depending upon which type of signal it receives. This feature enables a customer to migrate from analogue to digital radios over a period of time without having to purchase a whole fleet of new radios at one time.

The new digital repeaters operate on time divisional multiplexing (TDMA) which allows for 2 frequencies to be used at any one given time.
